Proprietor fined for violation of safety legislation

ýÿ     Sita Waste Services Limited was fined $35,000 at Eastern Magistrates' Courts today (November 21) for violation of the Factories and Industrial Undertakings Ordinance. The prosecution was launched by the Labour Department.

     The case involved a fatal accident that occurred on February 24, 2016 at a refuse transfer station in Kennedy Town. A worker was fatally injured by a reversing front loader while she was walking along the pier at the station.
