Following is the transcript of remarks by the Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, after meeting President Xi Jinping in Lima, Peru today (November 20, Lima time):

Reporter: Can you briefly talk us through his views on the cause of "Hong Kong independence"?

Chief Executive: Very simply put and very forcefully. The President said there is no room whatsoever for "Hong Kong independence" under the "one country, two systems" arrangement.
