Following is the transcript of remarks by the Secretary for Security, Mr Lai Tung-kwok, at a media session after attending a radio programme today (July 23):

Reporter: Will the Government consider raising the travel alert on Germany?

Secretary for Security: The Government is now contacting various parties on the latest development of the case. We will make a decision later this morning whether we will issue a travel alert.

Reporter: What kind of assistance will be offered to the four people who have sought help?

Secretary for Security: The most important issue is to ensure the safety which we are given to understand now they are safe. If they raise further request for assistance, for example how to leave the city, because at present I understand that all public transport has been stopped, we will together with the Consulate officials in Munich provide necessary assistance to them.
