The following is issued on behalf of the Council for Sustainable Development:
The Council for Sustainable Development (SDC) is now inviting entries from all existing full-time students enrolled in local undergraduate programmes to compete for the Sustainable Development Promotion Award for Students of Higher Education Institutions (SDPA).
A spokesperson for SDC said today (April 1), "The SDC has been striving to promote public awareness and understanding of the principles of sustainable development in Hong Kong. A number of publicity and outreach activities have been held for various sectors of the community. The SDPA is a new initiative designed for undergraduate students.
"The SDPA aims to encourage undergraduate students to devise and implement projects which can apply the concept of sustainable development in their daily lives and spread the message to the community. Awards would be given to outstanding proposals and projects that best meet the aim."
