The Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr Lau Kong-wah, today (January 30) congratulated Hong Kong cycling athletes on winning a number of medals for Hong Kong at the 2016 Asian Cycling Championships held in Japan.
Mr Lau said, "The athletes pulled their efforts and performed brilliantly. Some of the young athletes also excelled in the games and won glory for Hong Kong. People in Hong Kong and I are proud of them and would like to express our sincere greetings.
"We would also like to express our special thanks to the Head Coach of the Hong Kong Cycling Team, Mr Shen Jinkang, as well as other members and staff of the Supporting Team for their long-term dedication," he said.
The Hong Kong cycling team has won 16 medals. The list of medals won is as follows:
