Police today (October 5) appealed to the public for information on a fatal traffic accident in Kowloon City on September 21 in which a 65-year-old woman died.
At about 11.19am on that day, a public light bus (PLB) driven by a 51-year-old man was travelling along the westbound lane of Argyle Street. When approaching Kadoorie Avenue, it reportedly knocked down the 65-year-old woman who was crossing the road.
Sustaining head injuries, the woman was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in unconscious state for medical treatment. She was certified dead at 3.27pm on September 23.
The PLB driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death. He has been released on bail pending further enquiries and is required to report back to Police in mid-October.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West are underway.
