CE to attend China (Guangdong) Pilot Free Trade Zone plaque-unveiling ceremony in Nansha

     The Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, will visit Nansha tomorrow morning (April 21) to officiate at the plaque-unveiling ceremony of the China (Guangdong) Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ) and witness the first batch of enterprises of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau establishing their presence in the FTZ.

     Mr Leung will also officiate at the plaque-presenting ceremony of an innovation and business hub in Nansha for youths in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau, and a development base in Qianhai for Hong Kong industries.

     Accompanying the Chief Executive on the visit will be the Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Gregory So; the Secretary for Development, Mr Paul Chan; the Director of Information Services, Mr Patrick Nip; the Private Secretary to the Chief Executive, Mr Carlson Chan; the Senior Special Assistant to the Chief Executive, Mr Chan Kin-ping; and the Assistant Director (Media), Mr Anson Lai.
 
     Mr Leung will depart for Hong Kong in the afternoon on the same day. During his absence, the Chief Secretary for Administration, Mrs Carrie Lam, will be the Acting Chief Executive.
