Special traffic arrangements on Hong Kong Island for a public procession

     Police will implement special traffic arrangements to facilitate a public procession to be held on Hong Kong Island on January 1, 2015 (Thursday).
 
     The following roads will be intermittently closed from 2.30pm until the crowd is dispersed:
 
- Marble Road;
- Kam Hong Street;
- Westbound KingĄ¯s Road;
- Westbound Causeway Road;
- Westbound Irving Street;
- Northbound Pennington Street;
- Westbound Yee Wo Street;
- Westbound Hennessy Road;
- Westbound Queensway;
- Westbound Des Voeux Road Central; and
- Northbound Ice House Street.
 
     Vehicles may not be permitted to leave the car parks along the procession route during the road closure period until the roads are re-opened to traffic.
 
     Actual implementation of the traffic arrangements will be made depending on traffic and crowd conditions in the area. Motorists are advised to exercise tolerance and patience and take heed of instructions of the Police on site.
