Theatre Horizon will stage the first episode of its "Century-old Dreams of a Fishing Harbour" trilogy in November and December. The story begins as the legendary half-man, half-fish Lu-Tings, the earliest indigenous group of Hong Kong, trace local history in the century between the Opium War and the Japanese occupation. From the influx of Han re-settlers from the Central Plains to the transition from the Qing dynasty to British colonial rule, and from the civil war between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party to the Japanese occupation, they are both outsiders and involuntary players on an ever-changing political chessboard. Amidst everything, they have to find a way to survive.
