Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Happy Valley this morning (October 22) in which a 69-year-old woman was killed.
At about 8.51am, a public light bus driven by a 75-year-old man was travelling downslope along northbound Tai Hang Road. When approaching near Lai Tak Estate, it reportedly knocked down the 69-year-old woman who was crossing the road.
Sustaining head injuries, the woman was rushed to Queen Mary Hospital in unconscious state and was later certified dead at 20.13pm.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Hong Kong Island, are underway.
