To mark the opening of the Legislative Council (LegCo) Complex to members of the public on January 11, the LegCo issued the "Legislative Council Complex" Commemorative Stamps today (January 11). On the same day, the guided educational tour service to members of the public was also officially launched and nearly 150 visitors participated in a total of five tours of the LegCo Complex conducted throughout the day.
The open sale of the "Legislative Council Complex" Commemorative Stamps had attracted a large number of people visiting the Complex for purchasing the stamps products, and the sale event had concluded successfully.
After the special open sale event held today, a limited stock of the "Legislative Council Complex" Commemorative Stamps, including a "Heartwarming Stamps" pane ($50), a datestamped souvenir cover ($8) and a gift pack containing a "Heartwarming Stamps" pane and a datestamped souvenir cover ($80), are available at the Souvenir Shop, G/F of the LegCo Complex, 1 Legislative Council Road, Central, Hong Kong, while stocks last.
The guided educational tours of the LegCo Complex were well received by the tour participants. All five scheduled tours had been successfully conducted and attracted nearly 150 visitors.
By joining the guided educational tours, members of the public were able to gain first-hand experience of the facilities of the Complex and understand more about the work of the LegCo. The tour route covered conference and educational facilities of the LegCo Complex, including the Public Gallery of the Chamber, Viewing Gallery, Memory Lane and Education Gallery.
The guided educational tours of the LegCo Complex are offered free of charge to members of the public from Mondays to Sundays throughout the year except six public holidays. Members of the public can make advance booking via the Online Booking System available on the LegCo website (www.legco.gov.hk/general/english/visiting/guided.html) or by calling the Centralised Booking Hotline on 3919 3399.
