A new round of the Venue Partnership Scheme will soon be implemented at the performing arts venues of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD). Twenty-one groups and organisations representing different art forms will be the venue partners at 12 performing arts venues.
The new three-year scheme will be held from April 2012 to March 2015. Of the 21 venue partners, 15 are existing partners. The newly restored Yau Ma Tei Theatre, to be opened in mid-2012, will have the Chinese Artists Association of Hong Kong as its venue partner for nurturing budding and young Cantonese opera artists.
