Last extra flight carrying stranded Hong Kong students from London to arrive tomorrow

     The third and final extra flight arranged by Cathay Pacific Airways as per its agreement with the Government to bring back Hong Kong students stranded at London's Heathrow Airport due to severe weather conditions will arrive in Hong Kong tomorrow morning, a government spokesperson said today (December 23).

    "The flight will depart around 10.30pm Hong Kong time tonight (2.30pm UK time) and will arrive in Hong Kong tomorrow around 10am,"the spokesperson said.

     The first two extra flights arrived Hong Kong yesterday and today respectively.

    From December 17 until today, the Immigration Department received 646 requests for assistance, all of which were settled.

     The spokesperson said, "The Government will continue to closely monitor the situation. It stands ready to provide assistance to Hong Kong residents whenever they are in need."
