The Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Henry Tang, hosted a concert at the Victoria House this afternoon (December 18) for over 100 children in celebration of Christmas.

Gathered in the garden, Mr Tang and the children enjoyed classical and modern pieces performed by the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts' Academy Brass Ensemble and sang Christmas carols together.

After the concert, the children were treated to healthy vegetarian dim sum provided by Happy Veggies, a social enterprise set up by The Hong Kong Council of Social Service and funded by the Home Affairs Bureau's Enhancing Self-Reliance Through District Partnership Programme.

The gathering ended in a highlight as Mr Johnny Wu, second runner-up at the Santa Claus Winter Games in Sweden this year, brought them warmth and happiness on this chilly winter afternoon.

The children attending today's concert were invited by the Boys' and Girls' Clubs Association of Hong Kong and the Heep Hong Society. Some were from ethnic minorities or single families, and some had disabilities, including children with autism or mild intellectual disability.
