Chief Executive on duty visit to Beijing

     The Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang, will pay a duty visit to Beijing between December 20 and 23.

     Mr Tsang will brief State leaders on the economic, social and political developments in Hong Kong in the past year. He will also call on several ministries of the Central Government, including the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office, National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, People's Bank of China, China Banking Regulatory Commission, and China Securities Regulatory Commission.

     The Director of the Chief Executive's Office, Mr Raymond Tam; Director of Information Services, Mr Michael Wong; Private Secretary to Chief Executive, Ms Bernadette Linn; Senior Special Assistant, Mr Chan Kin-ping; Assistant Director (Media), Mr Vic Yau; and Special Assistant, Mr Ronald Chan; will also join the visit.

     During Mr Tsang's absence, the Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Henry Tang, will be acting Chief Executive.
