Wild, wild rock from Mongolian Tenggeer and his Blue Wolf
*********************************************************

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department presents Tenggeer and his Blue Wolf in Concert in January 2011, showcasing an exciting mix of rock'n'roll and Mongolian folk songs.

Tenggeer, a singer-songwriter from Inner Mongolia who sings with his soul, will give two concerts in Hong Kong together with his band, Blue Wolf. Full of Mongolian passion, this rock concert is sure to give the audience a memorable experience. The programme includes Tenggeer's works "Heaven", "Father and I", "Moon in the Cloud", "Days in Love with You", "Not Willing to Wait", "How Many Years" (in Mongolian), and folk songs such as "Rippling Brook" (Yunnan), "Senji Dema" (Erdos), and others.

Tenggeer is a National Class One Actor, vice-chairman of the China National Minority Song and Dance Troupe, an executive of the Chinese Musicians Association, and the lead singer of Blue Wolf. He was winner of a grand prize at the 17th Korean Cultural Entertainment Awards in 2009. His latest album "Cloud in the Moon" won the Best National Vocal Music Album award in 2010. Apart from the Mainland market, Tenggeer is also popular overseas. In September 2001, he and Blue Wolf staged a concert in the United States, in which "Heaven" was sung as a tribute to the deceased in the 9.11 incident.

Tenggeer formed Blue Wolf in 1993 with five friends from the beautiful Inner Mongolia steppe who shared the same musical vision. In ancient Mongolian myth, the blue wolf is the totemic ancestor of the Mongol race.

Tenggeer and his Blue Wolf in Concert will be staged at 8pm on January 26 (Wednesday) at the Concert Hall, Hong Kong City Hall; and at 8pm on January 27 (Thursday) at the Auditorium, Kwai Tsing Theatre.
