Police last night (December 5) arrested a 59-year-old man in a park in Saigon Street, Yau Ma Tei, suspected to be in connection with the murder case at Shing Mun Country Park in Tsuen Wan on November 28.
About 10.45am on November 28, Police received a report that the body of a 54-year-old woman was found on a slope near a barbeque site at Shing Mun Country Park.
The deceased was located without any clothing or identity document. Later the family of the deceased contacted the Police and confirmed her identity. An autopsy showed that the woman died because her skull was hit by a hard object.
After police investigation, the suspect was arrested in Yau Ma Tei last night and he is being detained.
Investigations by the District Crime Squad of Tsuen Wan are underway.
