The Government today (November 26) announced that the Chief Executive had re-appointed Mr Ambrose Ho as Chairman of the Broadcasting Authority and appointed Mr Alan Lui Siu-lun as a new member, both for a term of two years starting from December 1.

The Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mrs Rita Lau, said she was delighted that Mr Ho had accepted the re-appointment. "Since his first appointment as Chairman in December 2008, Mr Ho has contributed significantly to the work of the Authority and led it through various challenges including, most notably, the introduction and implementation of digital broadcasting in Hong Kong," she added.

Welcoming the appointment of Mr Lui, Mrs Lau said she was confident that his rich experience in engaging the younger generation in public sector work would bring new perspectives and insights to the Authority.
