The Secretary for Security, Mr Ambrose S K Lee, today (July 28) called on the Director General of the Royal Customs of Malaysia, Dato Sri Ibrahim bin Jaapar. They held discussions on different customs areas including the possibility of promoting information and experience exchange.
Mr Lee later visited Kuala Lumpur International Airport to see how the checkpoint was managed by immigration and customs frontline officers.
He said that both sides were ready to enhance co-operation in future with a view to raising efficiency in this global village where the volume of human and cargo traffic had increased tremendously.
Mr Lee departed for Indonesia in the afternoon. He will return to Hong Kong on Friday (July 30).
