Secretary for Security visits Kwai Tsing District (With photos)

     The Secretary for Security, Mr Ambrose S K Lee, today (January 16) visited Kwai Tsing District, calling on neighbourhood and social service organisations and exchanging views with residents and District Council members to learn more about their livelihoods, including family support and child care services in the district.

     Accompanied by the Kwai Tsing District Officer, Mr Allan Chow, Mr Lee first visited a family in Kwai Chung Estate to understand their daily life.

     While visiting the Women Service Association in Kwai Chung Estate, he was briefed on the "Neighbourhood Support - Child Care Project" that seeks to cater for the needs of local residents.

     Mr Lee then went to the Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Lady MacLehose Centre, where he was briefed on its services for ethnic minorities and the elderly.

     Mr Lee was impressed by the variety of services provided by these centres to cater for the need of different people and help bond different sectors in the community.

     Mr Lee also met the District Council Chairman, Mr Tang Kwok-kong, and other District Council members at the Kwai Tsing District Office to listen to their views on local issues.
