SME seminar on "How Exporters Can Protect Themselves in Face of the US' Sub-prime Mortgage Crisis"

    The Support and Consultation Centre for SMEs (SUCCESS) of the Trade and Industry Department will hold a seminar entitled "How Exporters Can Protect Themselves in Face of the US' Sub-prime Mortgage Crisis" on May 15 (Thursday). The seminar will explore the implications of the US' sub-prime mortgage problem and the Bankruptcy Code, and how Hong Kong exporters can protect themselves. 

    Speakers include Assistant General Manager of Hong Kong Export Credit Insurance Corporation Mr Jackson Adhikari, Managing Director of Kin Man Garment Fty, Ltd and Life Honourable President of the Hong Kong Chamber of Small and Medium Business Ltd Mr Felix Chan. They will share with participants their experiences in dealing with US importers and the tips for minimising risks in export.

    The seminar will be held on May 15 at 2.30pm at the Lecture Theatre, Ground Floor, Hong Kong Central Library, 66 Causeway Road, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong (MTR Tin Hau Station Exit B).  It will be conducted in Cantonese with free admission.
