Special arrangements for the facilities of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department will be implemented to facilitate the preparation for and organisation of the Olympic Flame Receiving Ceremony on April 30 (Wednesday) and the Launching Ceremony of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Torch Relay in Hong Kong on May 2 (Friday). Details of the special opening hours are as follows:
The foyer, restaurants, catering outlets, Performing Arts Gift Shop and UBRTIX box office of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre (HKCC) will be temporarily closed from noon to 6pm on April 30 and from 9am to 11am on May 2. Members of the public wishing to use URBTIX may use the nearby URBTIX outlet at Tom Lee Cameron Lane Branch, the URBTIX Internet ticketing services at www.urbtix.hk, or the telephone ticketing services at 2111 5999 during the temporary closure.
Hirers of the HKCC facilities and guests going to the Marriage Registry on both days can continue to access the respective venues via designated admission points. Staff will be on-site to assist.
The Hong Kong Museum of Art will advance its closing hour to noon on April 30 and be temporarily closed from 10am to 11am on May 2.
The Hong Kong Space Museum and its box office will be temporarily closed from 1pm to 6pm and from noon to 6pm respectively on April 30.
The Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade and the Avenue of Stars will be temporarily closed from 10.30am to 5pm on May 2 while the catering outlet at the Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade will be temporarily closed from 2pm to 5pm on the same day.
Moreover, the Piazza of the HKCC will be closed in phases from now till May 2. Signs will be put up on-site to advise the public.
