The deadline to apply to be a volunteer at the Beijing 2008 Olympic and Paralympic Games is March 31, 2008. As there is barely a month to go before applications close, a spokesman for the Home Affairs Bureau (HAB) reminded those who are interested to become volunteers to register as soon as possible.
As tasked by the Beijing Organising Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG), the HAB since the launch of the recruitment campaign in Hong Kong on March 28, 2007, has carried out two rounds of assessment with a view to short-listing suitable applicants for BOCOGĄ¯s consideration. The HAB will embark on the last round of assessment in early April.
The written assessment of the last round of recruitment is now scheduled for April 5. Applicants who pass the written assessment will be invited to attend selection interviews within the month. The spokesman said those who apply at the deadline may not be able to be informed of the arrangements in good time before the date of the written assessment, therefore, interested persons should apply soon.
