Kowloon Tong fire roundup

    A storeroom, about 10 metres x 8 metres, in Kowloon Tong was severely damaged in a No. 3 alarm fire today (March 2).

    The storeroom, which was fully loaded with electrical apparatus and equipment, was located at the ground floor of a 2-storey building at 7 Cumberland Road, Kowloon Tong. The fire broke out at 12.31am this morning and was upgraded to No. 3 alarm at 1.10am.

    Firemen used four jets and six breathing apparatus teams to fight the blaze. The fire was put out at 3.23am. No casualty was reported.

    Initial reports revealed that the cause of the fire was not suspicious.
