The Leisure and Cultural Services Department today (December 18) announced special opening hours for its museums and the Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre during the Christmas and New Year holidays.
On Christmas Eve (December 24), the Hong Kong Science Museum, Hong Kong Space Museum, Hong Kong Museum of Art, Hong Kong Heritage Museum, Hong Kong Museum of History, Dr Sun Yat-sen Museum, Lei Cheng Uk Han Tomb Museum, Law Uk Folk Museum, Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre, Hong Kong Film Archive and the Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre will close at 5pm.
The Hong Kong Science Museum, Hong Kong Space Museum, Hong Kong Museum of Art, Hong Kong Heritage Museum, Hong Kong Museum of History, Dr Sun Yat-sen Museum, Hong Kong Museum of Coastal Defence, Fireboat Alexander Grantham Exhibition Gallery, Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre, Ping Shan Tang Clan Gallery and Heritage Trail Visitors Centre and the Hong Kong Film Archive will be open as usual on Christmas Day (December 25), Boxing Day (December 26) and New Year's day (January 1, 2008). However, the Flagstaff House Museum of Tea Ware, Lei Cheng Uk Han Tomb Museum, Law Uk Folk Museum, Hong Kong Railway Museum, Sam Tung Uk Museum, Sheung Yiu Folk Museum and the Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre will be closed on Christmas Day (December 25), Boxing Day (December 26) and New Year's day (January 1, 2008).
Meanwhile, the Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre will close at 5pm on Winter Solstice (December 22) and New Year's Eve (December 31).
