He first went to the Junior Police Call (JPC) in Sheung Shui Clubhouse situated in a 100-year-old police station. Well-equipped with popular facilities for teenagers such as a computer room, a library, a reading room and a multi-function hall for dancing, arts, pottery and cooking classes, the clubhouse is frequented by JPC members in the region.

Mr Wong was briefed on the law enforcement and publicity efforts of the Police in combating drugs in the district. Following the briefing, he saw how the Police organised an anti-drug seminar for youngsters. He also chatted with some JPC members who were enjoying their barbecue at the clubhouse.

In the second leg of the visit, at the Lok Ma Chau Customs Control Point, Mr Wong saw anti-drug trafficking measures at the border. Apart from being briefed by officers of the Customs and Excise Department on the latest equipment employed in detecting drug-trafficking across the border, he also attended demonstrations by drug detector dogs.

Mr Wong also met members of the North District Council and District Fight Crime Committee to listen to their views on youth drug abuse.
