Appointment to Standing Committee on Disciplined Services Salaries and Conditions of Service

    The Government today (December 14) announced that the Chief Executive had appointed Mr William Chan Fu-keung as a member of the Standing Committee on Disciplined Services Salaries and Conditions of Service (the Standing Committee) for a term of two years. The appointment will take effect on January 1, 2008.

     The Chief Executive has also appointed Mr Barry Cheung Chun-yuen an existing member of the Standing Committee, as the Chairman of the ICAC Sub-Committee for a term of one year.

     The Government also expresses gratitude to Mr Eddie Ng Hak-kim who will retire from the Standing Committee on December 31, for his valuable contributions to the work of the committee.

     The Standing Committee advises the Government on matters relating to the salaries and conditions of service of the disciplined services.

     The Standing Committee is currently under the chairmanship of Mr Henry Fan Hung-ling. Other serving members of the Standing Committee are Ms Wong Mee-chun, Ms Chiang Lai-yuen, Mr Ip Kwok-him,  Mr Mark Lin,  Miss Elaine Chan Wing-yi, Mr Robert Philip Cutler, and Mr Michael Lee Tze-hau.
