The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (December 13) that the Hong Kong Central Library, most public libraries and Mobile Libraries 2 to 10 would close at 5pm on Christmas Eve (December 24) and New Year¡¯s Eve (December 31) while the library at North Lamma would close at 4.30pm.
North Kwai Chung, Tsuen Wan, Tuen Mun, Tin Shui Wai North, Yuen Long, Sheung Shui, Lek Yuen, Ma On Shan, Tseung Kwan O, Peng Chau, South Lamma, Tai O and Tung Chung Public Libraries will be closed on Christmas Eve and New Year¡¯s Eve as they fall on their regular close day. Mobile Library 1 will be suspended during the period due to routine inspection and servicing.
On Christmas Day (December 25), Boxing Day (December 26) and New Year¡¯s Day (January 1), all public and mobile libraries as well as students¡¯ study rooms will be closed.
