The Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) today (July 7) strongly advised people to stop all sorts of water-based activities in Hoi Ha Wan Marine Park following sightings of two juvenile sharks in the park again this afternoon.
The sharks, about two-feet to three-feet long, were sighted by AFCD staff near the Hoi Ha Wan Marine Life Centre from 4.07 pm to 4.26 pm.
A department spokesman said the public should refrain from swimming, diving or any other water-based activities in the park for the time being, not even in shallow waters.
ˇ°For their own safety, people found staying in the water in the park will be asked by our patrol staff to leave water immediately,ˇ± the spokesman added.
