Pictured is a bronze head with gold mask unearthed from the Sanxingdui site. Bronze heads with gold masks are precious as there are only four unearthed so far. These bronze heads and their gold masks show that the people of ancient Sichuan had already mastered gold mining and goldsmithing techniques. Their craftsmanship was also of a very high standard.
