Public invited to send e-cards to celebrate HKSAR 10th anniversary
*******************************************************

The Information Services Department today (May 16) invited people to join in the celebration of the 10th Anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) by sending specially designed e-cards to friends and relatives around the world.

The cards are available on the anniversary celebration website www.gov.hk/10.

A spokesman for the department said the HKSAR 10th Anniversary E-card Campaign was one of the events organised to celebrate the memorable occasion.

People who send e-cards to friends and relatives outside Hong Kong will be eligible to win return air tickets in a lucky draw.

"We have selected 12 animated e-cards for the public to choose from in sharing happy sentiments with friends and relatives around the world as the HKSAR celebrates its 10th Anniversary.

"The e-cards were selected through a design competition organised with 12 tertiary institutions and design schools," the spokesman said.

Cathay Pacific Airways is sponsoring 12 return tickets as prizes for the lucky draw organised under the e-card campaign.

Twelve lucky draw winners will each receive one return ticket for a trip between Hong Kong and any destination with which Cathay Pacific and Dragonair have direct flights.

Winners can use their tickets themselves or have them transferred to a friend or relative living outside Hong Kong.

People can send e-cards to as many friends and relatives living outside Hong Kong as they like, and received e-cards will be entered in the lucky draw.

The deadline for entries is June 14, 2007.

Details of the e-card campaign and the lucky draw are available on the anniversary celebration website www.gov.hk/10.
