Poll cards posted to Kai Yip by-election voters

    Poll cards for a Kwun Tong District Council by-election to be held on Sunday (May 20) have been posted to about 7,200 electors in the Kai Yip Constituency.

     "Those who have not yet received their poll cards can make enquiries to the Election Hotline, 2891 1001," a spokesman for the Registration and Electoral Office said today (May 15).

     Electors of the constituency also should have received an appeal letter from the Returning Officer, a map of the polling station, a guide to voting, an ICAC leaflet on clean elections and a leaflet introducing the candidates.

     The candidate number, name, occupation and political affiliation of the two candidates contesting the by-election are as follows:

Candidate No: 2
Sze Lun Hung
Education Project Officer
Political affiliation: Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong (DAB)

     The polling station at Kai Yip Community Hall, Kai Yip Estate, Kwun Tong, will be open from 7.30am to 10.30pm on May 20 for electors to cast their votes.

     After the poll is closed, the polling station will also be used as a counting station, in which the result of the by-election will be announced.

     The elected candidate will fill a vacant seat in the Kwun Tong District Council.
