Forum to seek community views on greening
*****************************************

Members of the public are invited to give their views on greening of Mong Kok and Yau Ma Tei at a forum next Tuesday (May 22).

The community forum, organised by the Civil Engineering and Development Department (CEDD) and the District Participation Group of the Yau Tsim Mong District Council, aims to collect views of local residents and people who work in the district on the development of the Greening Master Plan for the district.

The plan aims to define the overall greening framework of the area and serves as a guide for all people involved in planning, design and implementation of greening works.

The community forum will be held on May 22 in Henry G. Leong Yau Ma Tei Community Centre from 7pm to 9.45pm. Participants are welcome to give their views on greening in the district, including greening themes, locations for planting and planting species.

People who wish to join the forum can make reservation by mail or by phone.  They may complete the enrollment form available at CEDD website and send it to the Consultants, Earthasia Ltd., by fax no. 2559 9841 or by mail to Room 1101-2, 11/F, Top Glory Tower, 262 Gloucester Road, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. Alternatively, they may call Miss Corina Chan or Miss Haze Tang on 2559 9438 during office hours for reservation.

More details about the forum are available at the CEDD website http://www.cedd.gov.hk/eng/greening/index.htm.
