*********************************************************

The following is issued on behalf of the Cyberport Management Company Limited:

Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited (Cyberport) proudly presents the annual Digital Entertainment Leadership Forum (DELF) 2007 on March 21 (Wednesday) for the fourth consecutive year. With this year's theme of "The (He)Art of F/X: The Future of Digital Storytelling", international award winners with significant global reputation in special effects, digital cinema and animation will come and share their valuable experiences in utilising the technology in a number of Hollywood and international productions.

DELF 2007 has the honor of having Oscar winners and international industry elites as keynote speakers this year, namely Mr Scott Ross, Mr Warren Franklin, Mr Paul Wang and Mr Edward Jones. Some of their creations include Titanic, The Da Vinci Code, Night at the Museum, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Terminator 2 and Happy Feet (a 2007 Oscar winner for best animation).

With the growing application of computer animation and special effects in filmmaking and interactive video games in past decades, DELF 2007 will focus on how cinema is moving towards digital content creation, and how key computer animation and visual effect creators from around the world are developing and using new techniques, tools and technologies to tell stories in an ever more incredible and engaging way. DELF 2007 will also feature different perspectives of today's achievements in digital creativity and dialogue about what will be done in the near future.

DELF 2007 is organised by Cyberport and sponsored by Office of the Government Chief Information Officer. Co-organisers include Cyberport Digital Entertainment Incubation and Training Centre, Hong Kong Digital Entertainment Association, Hong Kong Digital Entertainment Industry Support Centre and the School of Design of Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Adding to the highlights, the Digital Pioneers Award Presentation will be held during the luncheon on the same day of the Forum. The Digital Pioneers is a programme co-organised by Cyberport and British Council. The programme aims to identify and develop a network of young creative entrepreneurs in Hong Kong and the UK via international mentorship, overseas work placements, industry-specific capacity building activities and peer exchanges. The six selected Digital Pioneers from Hong Kong and the UK will be formally announced on March 21.

DELF 2007 programme details and on-line registration are now available at delf.cyberport.hk. Earlybird registration of $380 is offered to public on or before March 8.

For enquiries, please call DELF 2007 hotline at (852)-3166 3839 or e-mail to delf@cyberport.com.hk

Note: F/X stands for "Special Effects"; the dynamic way that opens door to the new digital world.
