Opening hours of LCSD cultural venues and URBTIX during Lunar New Year

    The Leisure and Cultural Services Department has announced opening hours of its cultural venues and URBTIX outlets during the Lunar New Year period:

February 17 (Lunar New Year's Eve)
-----------------------------------

     Hong Kong Coliseum and Yuen Long Theatre will open as usual.

     Hong Kong Cultural Centre, Hong Kong City Hall, Sai Wan Ho Civic Centre, Ko Shan Theatre, Ngau Chi Wan Civic Centre, Sheung Wan Civic Centre, Sha Tin Town Hall, Tai Po Civic Centre, North District Town Hall, Kwai Tsing Theatre, Tsuen Wan Town Hall, Tuen Mun Town Hall and their URBTIX outlets will close at 5.30pm. Queen Elizabeth Stadium and its URBTIX outlet will close at 5pm.

     The Hong Kong Cultural Centre Piazza will be partially closed to facilitate the rehearsal for the Chinese New Year Night Parade.

     The URBTIX outlet at the Hong Kong Arts Centre will open as usual while the outlets at all Tom Lee branches will close at 6.30pm. The URBTIX outlets at AsiaWorld-Expo and the Mong Kok branch of Happy Sound Music Ltd will be closed.

February 18 (1st day of Lunar New Year)

     Hong Kong Coliseum, Ko Shan Theatre and the Hong Kong City Hall Low Block will open as usual.

     The Marriage Registry at High Block of the Hong Kong City Hall will open from 9am to 4.30pm. The Committee Room North there will open from 1.30pm to 4.30pm while the Recital Hall at High Block will open from 1pm to 5pm. Other facilities at High Block will be closed for the day.

     The Hong Kong Cultural Centre will be closed for the day. The Marriage Registry at the Administration Building will open from 9am to 12.45pm. The Hong Kong Cultural Centre Piazza will be closed from 2pm onwards to facilitate the performance of the Chinese New Year Night Parade.

     Kwai Tsing Theatre will open from 6pm to 11pm and its URBTIX outlet will provide service from 6pm to 9.30pm.

     Other venues will be closed.

     The URBTIX outlets at Hong Kong Arts Centre, all Tom Lee branches, AsiaWorld-Expo and the Mong Kok branch of the Happy Sound Music Ltd will be closed.

February 19 (2nd day of Lunar New Year)

     Hong Kong Coliseum, Queen Elizabeth Stadium, Ko Shan Theatre and the Hong Kong City Hall Low Block will open as usual.

     The Hong Kong City Hall High Block will be closed.

     Hong Kong Cultural Centre will open from 2pm to 11pm and its URBTIX outlet will open from 2pm to 9.30pm.

     Yuen Long Theatre will open from 6pm to 11 pm and its URBTIX outlet will open from 6pm to 9.30pm.
     
     Other venues will be closed.

     The URBTIX outlets at Hong Kong Arts Centre, all Tom Lee branches, AsiaWorld-Expo and the Mong Kok branch of Happy Sound Music Ltd will be closed.

February 20 (3rd day of Lunar New Year)

     Hong Kong Coliseum, Queen Elizabeth Stadium, Hong Kong Cultural Centre, Ko Shan Theatre, Sai Wan Ho Civic Centre and the Hong Kong City Hall Low Block will open as usual.

     The Recital Hall at High Block of the Hong Kong City Hall will open from 2pm to 8.30pm. Other facilities at High Block will be closed for the whole day.

     Kwai Tsing Theatre will open from 6pm to 11pm and its URBTIX outlet will provide service from 6pm to 9.30pm.

     Other venues will be closed.

     The URBTIX outlets at all Tom Lee branches will open as usual while the outlets at the Hong Kong Arts Centre, AsiaWorld-Expo and the Mong Kok branch of Happy Sound Music Ltd will be closed.

February 21 (4th day of Lunar New Year)

     All venues will resume normal opening hours.

     URBTIX reservation hotline 2734 9009 will maintain its normal service (10am to 8pm) during the holiday period from February 17 to 21.
