People may also request a posted copy of the DVD by enclosing a self-addressed envelope before March 31.

The well-received six-episode series was broadcast from May to July, 2006. It was based on real stories, portraying how a group of rehabilitated offenders and inmates underwent rehabilitation. These real characters also appeared in the drama to unveil their past experiences. Yuen Yuen Institute has donated $500,000 for the production of the TV programme.

The department has produced 10,000 copies of the DVD in Cantonese with Chinese and English subtitles. They are distributed to schools, youth organisations and community groups to help prevent juvenile delinquency through enhancing young people's insight into the consequences of crime. Two thousand copies are now available for public collection at the Hong Kong Correctional Services Museum on a first-come-first-served basis. People may also request a copy of the DVD through the mail by enclosing a self-addressed envelope (affixed with a $4 stamp) before March 31. They should mark on the envelope the words "Request for The Road Back DVD" and enclose a self-addressed envelope with minimum size of 180mm x 240mm.

Enquiries on rehabilitation of offenders can be made to the department's Rehabilitation Division on 2582 5555 during office hours. People are also welcome to visit department's website http:///www.csd.gov.hk for information on the subject.

The museum, located at 45 Tung Tau Wan Road in Stanley, is open to the public for free from 10am to 5pm from Tuesday to Sunday and closed on Mondays and public holidays.
