A total of 127 members of the Immigration Department were awarded the Hong Kong Immigration Service Long Service insignia at a ceremony today (February 9) at Immigration Headquarters. The awards were presented by the Deputy Director of Immigration, Mr Peh Yun-lu.
Acting Principal Immigration Officer (Prosecution and Litigation) Mr Ip Chun-tang, Assistant Principal Immigration Officer (Career Development) Mr Jason Leung Wai-kwong and 39 other officers were awarded the first clasps to their medals for 25 years of dedicated service with the department.
Assistant Principal Immigration Officer (Service Support and Public Relations) Mr Chow Kun-wah and five other officers were awarded third clasps to their medals for their 33 years of dedicated service.
A total of 80 officers received the Hong Kong Immigration Service Long Service Medal, marking 18 years of service.
Mr Peh said the awards honoured those with exemplary character and conduct who had given long and meritorious service as members of the Immigration Service. He congratulated all recipients and thanked them for their many years of loyalty and dedication to the Immigration Service.
