"Loveable Sights" drawing competition to celebrate 10th anniversary of HKSAR

    The Home Affairs Department, Lions Clubs International District 303 HK and Macau, China, and the Hong Kong Youth Cultural and Arts Competitions have jointly organised the "18 Districts Loveable Sights" drawing competition to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

     The competition is to promote civic education and national education as well as the sense of community belonging of Hong Kong people.

     The competition will be held at district and territory levels. It is divided into two categories - Primary Group (P.4 to P.6) and Secondary Group (F.1 to F.7). Participants are required to do outdoor sketching in pastel, colour pencils or crayon at designated venues. Their works should be submitted in the form of Western painting.

     Each of the 18 districts will have a champion, a first runner-up, a second Runner-up and five awards of merit in each category. The winners will automatically enter the territory-wide competition to return one champion, one first runner-up, one second runner-up and five winners of awards of merits for each category.

     Participants should submit the application forms through their schools. The enrolment period is from today (February 9) to March 9. Leaflets and application forms are now available at the Public Enquiry Service Centres operated by the 18 District Offices.      Book coupons ranging from $500 to $2,000 and trophies will be awarded to winners as prizes for the competition.

     Winners will be notified individually by letter and announced on the websites of the 10th Anniversary of the Establishment of the HKSAR, the Lions Clubs International District 303 HK and Macau, China and the Hong Kong Youth Cultural and Arts Competitions.
