The Home Affairs Bureau will organise three open forums this month to discuss with the public the current policy and measures on built heritage conservation, as well as what and how to conserve Hong Kong's built heritage.
People are invited to attend the open forums to give their views on built heritage conservation policy.
"These open discussions, including the three regional forums held earlier for district officials and a focus group forum for academics, professional bodies and concern groups, provide the general public with an opportunity to understand our current policy and measures on built heritage conservation, as well as to express views on what and how to conserve our built heritage," a spokesman for the Home Affairs Bureau said.
Details of the public forums are as follows:
1st Forum

Venue: Jockey Club Lecture Theatre, Olympic House, 1 Stadium Path, So Kon Po, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong (300 seats)
2nd Forum

Date: February 12, 2007 (Monday)
Time: 5:30pm - 7:30pm
Venue: Cultural Activities Hall, 2/F, Tsuen Wan Town Hall, 72 Tai Ho Road, Tsuen Wan, New Territories (280 seats)
3rd Forum

Date: February 13, 2007 (Tuesday)
Time: 5:30pm - 7:30pm
Venue: Lecture Hall, Hong Kong Science Museum, Tsim Sha Tsui East, Kowloon (290 seats)
The presentation of the three forums will be conducted in Cantonese. English simultaneous interpretation will be available at the first forum (February 6). Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
