United Nations Sanctions (Lebanon) Regulation

    The Government today (January 19) gazetted the United Nations Sanctions (Lebanon) Regulation.  

     "The Regulation implements sanctions against Lebanon in accordance with United Nations Security Council Resolution (UNSCR) 1701," a government spokesman said.

     The Regulation implements the following sanctions:

     * prohibition against the sale or supply of arms and related material to any entity or individual in Lebanon; and

     * prohibition against provision of technical training or assistance related to the provision, manufacture, maintenance and use of arms and related material to any entity or individual in Lebanon.
