The unsatisfactory "jinzhen" sample, with a brand name on its package, was found to contain preservative sulphur dioxide exceeding the permitted level. The sample was collected from a retail shop by the Centre for Food Safety for tests on festive food for the Lunar New Year under its Food Surveillance Programme.
