2007 Village Representative Elections: Overall turnout rate

The first polling day of 2007 Village Representative Elections ended at 7 pm today (January 6).
A total of 62 candidates from 19 villages contested for 26 seats, including 11 Indigenous Inhabitants Representatives (IIR) and 15 Resident Representatives (RR), in the IIR and RR Elections.
A total of 4,077 out of the 6,328 registered voters cast their votes, representing an overall turnout of 64.43 per cent.
