Phase VII of Arts Corner in Hong Kong Park to launch tomorrow

    The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) will launch Phase VII of the Arts Corner in Hong Kong Park tomorrow (January 1), fostering people¡¯s interest in arts and crafts and providing more fun for park-goers.

     From tomorrow to December 31, 2007, between noon and 6pm on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, 10 handicrafts and arts service stalls will be set up at the outdoor area near the Flagstaff House Museum of Tea Ware in Hong Kong Park, selling handicrafts and artworks such as pottery, dough models, paper craftworks, carving works, accessories, floral artworks, cloth artworks and clay works and providing services like painting, calligraphy, sketching/caricature. Admission is free.

     The LCSD organises similar events in three other venues.

     The Arts Fun Fairs are organised in Kowloon Park and Lai Chi Kok Park (Stage III). People are welcomed to visit the fairs between 1pm and 7pm on Sundays and public holidays. The Arts Fun Fairs at Kowloon Park and Lai Chi Kok Park (Stage III) will run until May 27 and September 30 respectively.

     The Arts Corner at Victoria Park will be mounted at the South Pavilion and South Pavilion Plaza between 10am and 6pm on Sundays and public holidays until June 24 (except February 18 and 19, March 11, 18 and 25).
