Census and Statistics Department announced today (December 28) that the 2005 annual economic survey reports will be available for download (in PDF format) free of charge from the "Statistical Bookstore, Hong Kong" (www.statisticalbookstore.gov.hk) as from 2pm of the dates indicated below.
2. The "Report on 2005 Annual Survey of Industrial Production" will be available on December 29, 2006. Enquiries regarding this report can be directed to the Industrial Production and Tourism Statistics Section at 2882 4208.
3. The "Report on 2005 Annual Survey of Transport and Related Services" will be available on December 29, 2006. Enquiries regarding this report can be directed to the Logistics and Producer Prices Statistics Section at 2802 1273.
4. The "Report on 2005 Annual Survey of Building, Construction and Real Estate Sectors" will be available on January 3, 2007. Enquiries regarding this report can be directed to the Construction and Miscellaneous Services Statistics Section at 2882 4684.
5. The "Report on 2005 Annual Survey of Wholesale, Retail and Import and Export Trades, Restaurants and Hotels" will be available on January 4, 2007. Enquiries regarding this report can be directed to the Distribution Services Statistics Section at 2802 1264.
6. The "Report on 2005 Annual Surveys of Storage, Communication, Banking, Financing, Insurance and Business Services" will be available on January 12, 2007. Enquiries regarding this report can be directed to the Business Services Statistics Section at 2894 8149.
7. These reports contain a wide range of statistics on the operating characteristics and structure of various economic sectors for the year 2005.
8. The major statistics presented in the reports include number of establishments; number of persons engaged; compensation of employees; gross output, sales of goods, business receipts and other income; value added; purchases of goods and materials; other operating expenses; and gross additions to fixed assets.
