Hongkong Post today (December 27) held a ceremony to mark the launch of the "2006 Hong Kong Definitive Stamps" at the General Post Office.
Officiating at the ceremony were the Secretary for Economic Development and Labour, Mr Stephen Ip and Postmaster General Mr Tam Wing-pong.
The "2006 Hong Kong Definitive Stamps", designed by Bon Kwan and featuring wild birds found in Hong Kong, is the third set of definitive stamps issued by Hongkong Post since the handover.
The new stamps will replace the "definitive stamps" that have been in use since 2002. These will be taken out of circulation after December 30.
The new stamps will go on sale at all post offices from December 31.
