A company director was fined $14,000 at the Kwun Tong Magistrates' Courts today (November 30), after being convicted of offences under the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Ordinance (Cap. 485).
The defendant, Cheung Chick Chiu George, director of All-Line Limited (BR no.: 14910558), was charged with offences under section 7A(8) and section 44 of the Ordinance. The defendant pleaded guilty to four counts of failing to make MPF contributions for his employee within the prescribed time for the contribution periods between August and November 2005. The defendant was fined $4,000 each for the first three summonses and $2,000 for the remaining summons, totalling $14,000.
