Folk Songs Marathon at Kwai Tsing Theatre Plaza

    A "Folk Songs Marathon" featuring popular Chinese and Western folk songs will be staged at the Plaza of Kwai Tsing Theatre on Sunday (December 3) from 3pm to 9pm. Admission is free.

     Folk songs are the songs of people, reflecting the geography, climate, language, culture and religion of different countries and nations.

     "Folk Song Marathon" is organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and co-ordinated by the Kwai Chung and Tsing Yi District and Arts Co-ordination Association. It aims to promote the appreciation of folk songs and cultural features of different nations.

     Twelve groups are invited to perform various Chinese and Western folk songs in different periods and styles. They are Band Natural, M.A.D., Young Strings, Music Buds, Capital, Henry & Richard, Ching Wan, The Fillys, Sapphire, Martini, Tri's Hi's, and DEF. The groups have been promoting folk music to the younger generation and eager to share with audiences their unforgettable memories.
