Regarding the property package under the rail merger, a spokesman for the Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau said yesterday (November 24) that the bureau had worked closely with the Bills Committee on Rail Merger Bill and had provided information to members upon their request.
The spokesman said the property package was assessed by an independent professional valuer.
In response to members’ further request for information on the property package, the spokesman said that we had provided commercially sensitive information concerning the property package at the closed door meeting yesterday, and had explained why the information could not be made public, as well as the importance of the information relating to the valuation.
We believe that the information provided should help members better understand the situation.
