Approved Hung Hom Outline Zoning Plan amended
*********************************************

The Town Planning Board (the Board) today (November 24) announced amendments to the approved Hung Hom Outline Zoning Plan (OZP).

The amendments to the approved OZP are mainly to incorporate the corresponding amendments to take account of the land use proposals in Kai Tak area. This includes a piece of land to the north of the existing To Kwa Wan sewage treatment plant, which is proposed to be rezoned from "Other Specified Uses" annotated "Sewage Treatment Plant" to "Government, Institution or Community" and "Open Space" for school and open space use. An existing pier to the east of Hok Cheung Street is proposed to be excised from the Kai Tak (South) OZP for inclusion into the Planning Scheme Area of Hung Hom OZP and rezoned as "Other Specified Uses" annotated "Pier".

Amendments to the Notes of the OZP were also made to reflect the revised Master Schedule of Notes to Statutory Plans endorsed by the Board.

The draft Hung Hom OZP No. S/K9/19 incorporating the amendments is now available for public inspection during normal office hours at the Secretariat of the Board, the Planning Enquiry Counters in North Point and Sha Tin, the Kowloon District Planning Office, and the Kowloon City and Yau Tsim Mong District Offices.

Anyone can make written representations in respect of the amendments to the Secretary of the Board on or before January 24, 2007. Representations made to the Board will be made available for public inspection.

Copies of the draft plan are available for sale at the Map Publications Centres in North Point and Yau Ma Tei.  The electronic version of the plan can be viewed on the Board's website at http://www.info.gov.hk/tpb.
