The following is issued on behalf of the Electoral Affairs Commission:
The Electoral Affairs Commission will hold a public forum on Friday (November 24) on the Proposed Guidelines on Election-related Activities in respect of the Chief Executive Elections.
Commission chairman, Mr Justice Pang Kin-kee, together with other commission members will chair the forum, which will be held at 2.30pm at the EAC Conference Room, 10/F, Harbour Centre, 25 Harbour Road, Wan Chai.
All interested parties and individuals are invited to express their views at the forum. Both supporting and dissenting views are welcome.
The proposed guidelines were released on November 16 for public consultation until November 29.
Written representations can be sent to the Commission secretariat at 10/F Harbour Centre, 25 Harbour Road, Wan Chai. Submissions by fax (2511 1682) or e-mail (eacenq@reo.gov.hk) will also be accepted.
